Dig Düg

Our entry to the Filmmaking Frenzy Video Game Competition. Create a trailer to a movie based on a video game. Any game... provided it hasn't gotten the film treatment yet.

We chose: Dig Dug (or Dig Düg in German)... why? That's inconsequential at the moment... the point is our friend from Germany is in it...

I may post an alternate cut on here soon. One where our friend actually speaks (in German!).

NEXT TIME: Bloodshots 2009

Senator DeNiro

So, I'm working downtown... minding my own business... walking on Congress Street looking for a place to go for lunch.

Those big Film Trucks are outside again (near the Paramount Theater). I see a co-worker and he tells me,"Ya, Robert Rodriguez is in town. They're shooting Machete over here."

I was like, ya, cool, whateva. I walk by the filming location... and having worked on some feature film sets before... I know how easy it is to just waltz in and get "on location".

So...

I did.

They're shooting a press conference scene where someone is going to walk up to the pulpit thing and answer questions. So, I kinda blend in easily (in the background).

But, I try to stay out of people's way, while pretending like I'm suppose to be there. This girl walks up to me (who, I think I've met before) and says,"DeNiro hear yet?"

I laugh nervously... as she clearly is insane.

Next thing I know, they roll cameras and who walks down a flight of stairs?

Robert Fucking DeNiro. I was like Holy Crap!

I tried my best to remain calm, but this was sooooo... unexpected. As they're filming the scene... I tried to see if I can get a picture of him... but it's so far. And I was trying not to get noticed.

So, they shoot the scene and I guess the jist is... DeNiro plays a Senator in this one.

Long story short, this is the best picture I got. And unfortunately, I probably wouldn't be the best photo journalist and I would be fired from TMZ for submitting something like this... but it's the best I could do.

And now...

...my lunch is over.

Also, our friend Robert also looks like Robert.

And you can watch our TAXI DRIVER parody below.

Affyzzle & Triple S Videos

Behind the scenes stills.
First, big shout out to Zachary Herigodt (seefarphoto.com) for his work as DP for the 2 videos we shot in San Antonio last month. The pics you're looking at are stills taken from the shoot also by Zack.

The rappers are Triple S & Affyzzle (Cle De Sol Entertainment) and they're from the Ivory Coast. The 2 videos are currently being edited through our sister company LoscarStudios.com.

More pics from the shoot here.

New Site, More Contests, More Videos, Etc.

:: THE NEW SITE

Apparently, I am not able to complete the new site renovation. If there is anyone out there who knows someone that would be interested in helping us finish the new site, please write to us. We would welcome that... It's kinda half done... just need someone to finish it.

:: VIDEO GAME CONTEST

So the G4 Cable Channel and Fantastic Film Fest (aka Alamo Drafthouse) is having a contest where you produce a trailer to a video game.

Some of the rules:
1. 2minutes total running length max
2. It's got to be a video game that hasn't been made into a movie yet.
3. It has to be PG-13'ish
4. No copyrighted stuff, music, logoes,(obviously)...

That's about it. We ain't for sure what we're going to do... but it's due the first week of Sept. More info on the contest here.

:: MORE MUSIC VIDEOS

Well, I already do music videos on a different site LoscarStudios.com. So, if anyone has an active interest in getting a video treatment to your next single, please contact us. I'm currently working on 2 rap videos back to back with a 3rd one to be shot in Sept. We can do anything from Hip Hop to Rock to Pop... to whatever else you may throw at us.

So, write to us if you need a music video or would like to help out with our site.

Thanks!

Holy Orderlies and Crazies!

We Got Screenshots
Here is the first glimpse of the music video shot over a week ago now.

We'll be editing stuff and whittling it down throughout the week. As, I've got an entirely different music video shoot this weekend.

So, in regards to "Section C" Video... we'll be finishing that up soon. But not this weekend. Some other time. If anyone is interested in scheduling a premiere date let me know (I'm looking at you Lennings). If you want, anyway.

You got my email.

Or, then again, maybe I should finish the video first. Alright, forget the whole thing!

David Bowie -- Space Oddity

I love this song. So, I edited a music video out of it. Over 10 years ago, in High School, using movie clips and such (like every other youtube video today).

Never posted online until now...

More updates on the "SECTION C" music video over the weekend... hopefully complete with screenshots... time willing... bare with us...

Monday, July 6, 2009

thanks

to everyone that came to the shoot. We appreciate it. The Lennings appreciate it...
Thanks to the extras (oh, sorry -- background artists) who showed up. Thank you to everyone for your help before during and after the shoot. Thanks Balint of BKP Films for excellent camera work. Everyone's costume was great, everyone performed well...

I will be posting a couple of pics from the shoot on my next update... and an old David Bowie video that I put together in High School... to hold some of you over while we edit the video.

Clearly, there should be a Premiere Party for this as that's the whole point to filming anything these days. So, I'll let someone else be in charge of that.

What else? Got a web layout to work on for someone, got a music video for someone else in mid July -- a gazillion projects at work, starting a record label (if I haven't already), and I think I want to start some webisodes for our site.

Of, fuck, our site... can someone else finish revamping this site???!!!

Perhaps a new deadline is in order? I will be posting that soon... I s'pose...

On Location

Shooting ... music... video...

No new site (yet)... we will set a new date to finish this...

Friday, July 3, 2009

Shoot! This Sunday?

Gotta shoot a music video on Sunday...

Lights? Check. Batteries? Check. Camera? ya-ya... New Site ready for July 4th?
uhh... no... I'm going to need more time to update this site. It definitely won't be ready tonight... but maybe this weekend? I don't know. I just don't know.

If I don't have it done by July 4th I'll at least post a very very very old music video that I edited in High School. It's the most I can do.

BTS - 101 - The Lennings

I may be starting a new monthly series...

BEHIND THE SCENES (aka BTS) of stuff that we do at Clasico. Currently, working on this here music video and the clip is about us location scouting.

The band is The Lennings. The song is "Section C" and you can check them out (and hear the song) on MySpace.

We hope to have more episodes in the future (I said Monthly!). Don't quote me on that.

On a side note: We are looking for Panasonic AGDVX-100 Camera with wide angle lens. Please, contact us if you got one and will be available for a music video shoot soon. Thanks!

Peanuts?!

In regards to the last post, apparently he says "Styrofoam Peanuts"...

Boy is my face red...
(it searches for the retraction button)

Styrofoam What?

What he say? Did he just say that? Did Weird Al just say... Penis?

Weird Al has got a new song (ya, who cares -- I don't)... but wait! It's about that thing called Craigslist... to the sounds of "When the Music's over" by the Doors. Okay, I'll give it a whirl...

This video started off kind of cool. I mean when's the next time you gonna see trippy 60's throwback with dissolves and red tints and Indians... you know -- College films. So, the song itself -- is kinda alright... but, it actually gets better... there is a spoken word part where he's ranting and raving about a barrista (sic) at a coffee shop. Well, I thought it was funny.

Then he talks about a Styrofoam you know what. Which... I still can't believe he did that (his lyrics are always PG rated). I haven't bought a Weird Al album in over 13 years (okay, maybe 10 -- but it was for a dollar at a pawn shop)... but, still this is probably the best song/video he's got this millennium.

Still not buying an album though -- Blame it on the I... I... I... I... I... I -- I -- I -TUNES!

Aloe

Going to get back into the swing of things (in regards to working on the site). Too busy nursing this sunburn which feels worse than it looks.

I asked someone to recommend something I could use to treat this. They responded with: Aloe.

Which, I thought that was British for "Hi".

"Aloe!"

The Countdown

Ey! Who's idea was it to put that dumb countdown on the site? Oh, ya, mine. Dang... I've got like 20 days to finish this thing. Oy! Who's idea was it to update the site anyway? It sure as hell wasn't mine. Pshh!

Update via Mobile

Going to try and see if I can do updates via phone. I'm sure it be easier if I had an iPhone... but, I don't... gonna try using what I got. And if it works... I'm gonna try and see if I can do the same thing using a payphone.

"Interview" Movie

So, I'm adding pics to the new site and I come across this short called "Interview"... I completely forgot about that one somehow.

It's the last thing we shot (in May I believe).

It's never been available online anywhere... and it will be available to watch when the site is complete. (July 4th)

New Logo for New Site

Here it is... I didn't spend 10 minutes on it... it looks alright, but it fits the new website...

Day 2

Waiting for a buncha files to upload to the new Clasico Site... I've uploaded them like at least 3 times now... but I keep getting errors. Each time I do this it takes over an hour upload everything... so, that's probably 4hours? ish? I've spent... Should I even log my hours? Well, I definitely started yesterday... and I spent over 8 hours then...

Today is definitely gonna be over 8 hours as well -- I'm gonna add up all the time spent after all. Just to see what kind of numbers I'm looking at.

So, I'm about 16 hours on day 2.

Next Feature Length Movie

Okay, so, it's just going to be a longer version of "Cock Blast". It's about a Video Game Salesman trying to make a buck -- approx 7min..

We think we can make this longer... and that's that.

Working on the new site

So, on July 4th we'll unveil (sic) the new website at ClasicoEntertainment.com

We will also announce what the next feature length project is at that time. Not entirely certain if I can keep up with this blog thingy... but, I hope to keep this thing current -- and if things go well... I will be able to post updates and behind the scene stuff and so on as time goes on.

That might be cool. Check back here to see how long this blog thing lasts...
